Karly has been dancing for 18 years. She started taking Jazz classes with Katherine Lind. Soon she began study of Tap and Musical Theatre followed later by Ballet. Karly has been dancing at Studio One School of Performing Arts with Katherine since the school opened.

Karly has participated in workshops and weekend-long conventions with LA Danceforce,Triple Threat Dance and Brian Foley’s A.D.A.P.T. She won a silver medal for a duo she performed with her sister Randi at the LA Danceforce competition in Minneapolis. At the Triple Threat Dance Convention 2000 Karly was invited by the instructors to audition to dance for Princess Cruise Lines. Karly has been participating in the Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival and other competitions since the age of eleven. She has been awarded medals ranging all the way to Gold Honors.

Karly has studied hip hop, jazz and ballet classes at Sisler High School Visual and Performing Arts department as well as teaching tap there. She joined "Sisler’s Most Wanted" performing group, traveling city-wide to other schools as well as being featured at functions such as the Bomber Kick-Off Party. A highlight was a trip to Calgary and Banff to perform, as was the year end show "Children of the Future: Dancing into the Millennium" at the Walker Theatre. Karly was selected to dance in "Amahl and the Night Visitors" with the Little Opera Company.

In her graduating year at Sisler High School, Karly choreographed the Grad 2000 Fashion Show and its featured dances. In recognition of her high school achievements she received the Dance Department Award.

Since then, Karly has enjoyed dancing in a local production of "Godspell", an appearance on A Channel’s "The Big Breakfast" demonstrating Hip Hop, and Polo Park’s Calvin Klein’s Show.

Karly’s early teaching experience included giving a week long summer school jazz program at Manitoba Dance Theatre. At Studio One, Karly's dance teaching began with assisting This’n’That in 1999 and has progressed to the introduction of and now heads up the Hip Hop department.

Apart from Studio One, Karly has completed her training as an athletic therapist and has a special interest in therapy directed towards dance-related concerns.
